Last Updated: 10/26/2024
Welcome to Zion. Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Zion (the “App”). By accessing or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, then you may not access or use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you accept and agree to these Terms, including any modifications we make over time. You also agree to comply with our Privacy Policy and any other policies provided within the App.
2. Description of the App
Zion is a mobile email digest that reorganizes user emails. The App uses OAuth for secure login and interacts with Google and Microsoft APIs to read and display emails in a chat-like interface. Users can send and receive emails without the use of an external server; all operations are performed locally on the user’s device.
3. Account Registration and Security
• Account Access: The App requires you to log in via Google or Microsoft accounts to access email data. We use OAuth to authenticate and authorize access.
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials. We recommend logging out after each session to ensure your account security.
4. Use of Third-Party APIs
The App integrates with third-party services, such as Google and Microsoft APIs, to provide functionality. By using these services within our App, you agree to abide by their terms and conditions:
• Microsoft Services Agreement
5. User Responsibilities
• Compliance with Laws: You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Usage Restrictions: You shall not misuse the App by attempting to gain unauthorized access, modifying or creating derivative works, or engaging in any behavior that may disrupt the functionality of the App or other users’ experiences.
6. Privacy and Data Security
• Local Data Processing: All email data is processed locally on your device, and no information is stored on external servers.
• Data Access: The App only accesses email data as authorized by you, and only for the purposes of providing the services outlined within the App.
For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property related to the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software code, are the property of Zion or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use any of these materials without our prior written permission.
8. Modifications to the App and Terms
• Changes to the App: We reserve the right to update, change, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We are not liable if any part of the App is unavailable at any time.
• Changes to the Terms: We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last Updated” date and may provide additional notification through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes have been made constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zion shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of data or unauthorized access to your accounts.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. You use the App at your own risk.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we believe it is necessary to protect our interests or those of other users.
